Retail executive becomes consumer advocate, SCORE volunteer
Harold Moldoff of Rye Beach had 40 years of retail management experience, having founded and operated a chain of retail stores in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Shortly after his retirement in 1990, he became an active volunteer with the Bureau of Consumer Protection in Consumer Affairs (NH Attorney General's Office), a role he has continued since 1992.
Recently he received the Joseph D. Vaughn Award for the year 2005 for Volunteerism on behalf of "Older Citizens in New Hampshire".
Moldoff has been active with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) for more than 20 years, serving as Counselor and Marketing Director for New Hampshire and Vermont. In 2004 he was recipient of the New Hampshire SCORE "Counselor of the Year" Award.
In addition, Moldoff has been chairman of the Rye Beach Zoning Board of Adjustment.
