HISTORIC PHOTO OF MONTH
Can you guess what this month's photo depicts? Give us feedback at Feedback
Here's an easy one: Can you tell what the name of the road is in the above photograph? It's hard to decipher in such an old photo--more than 100 years old--but the photo depicts a carriage coming up the road and a woman walking down the road. Where?
(Our thanks to the Rye Town Museum for providing the photograph).
We wanted to present an easy one, because we didn't hear from anyone who could identify last month's photo shown below. Rather than giving away the answer, we have decided to continue the contest for another month without naming her, with one exception: No employees of the Rye Public Library, from whom we received permission to run the photo, may enter. We are not a low-budget operation; in fact, we are a no-budget operation, so, as much as we would like to provide a free trip to Hawaii, we can only extend a thank you and a public commendation to those who guess correctly.
If you think you can identify the photo above--or the one below--please send us a note by clicking on the Feedback box (bottom left of Front Page). We will provide feedback on the Feedback in our May edition.
