Daffodils
Gayle Sweeney
(Judy Palm photo)
In a springtime, silvery, grand
yellow symphony
daffodils can be seen shining
at a skyward hour still.
An adoring and soft, frilly throng,
besought,
these open sunny flowers
coram populo
trumpet until
daylight drinks in all of their songs
which they gladly peddle.
