ONE OF THE GIRLS

Portsmouth tugs have been busy with bulk carriers this winter, bringing in salt, LPG, coal, cement and gypsum. This one, "Mary M. Coppedge" (rated at 3,200 HP) is moored at the Moran Towing Corporation on Ceres Street. Memorial Bridge and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard are in the distance. Other tugs in the Portsmouth fleet are the "Eugenia Moran" (2,875 HP) and the "Carly A.Turecamo" (2,200 HP). See more information on Piscataqua ship spotting. (Jim Cerny photo)
