Little Charlie Christmas

Norm Walker

Little Charlie Christmas went shopping today;
She loaded her wagon and filled up her sleigh.
She got trinkets for Mom, tools for her Dad,
Dolls for her sisters to make them both glad.

Little Charlie Christmas will sneak out tonight
When the stars are atwinkle and the moon’s shining bright.
She’ll slide ‘cross the snow and ride on the breeze,
And arrange all the presents under the trees.

She’ll respond to the dreams of all girls and boys:
For babies and kids there’s full-of-fun toys;
For pre-teens and big kids, colorful gear;
For parents and g’rents, something pretty to wear.

Charlie Christmas’s a Giver with a smile on her face;
She works for Big Santa to spread Christmas Grace,
To shower the planet with healing rain from above,
The greatest of Gifts on the Birthday of Love.
