A winter's day in the life of the Seacoast

Observing the goings-on from hanging out to vigorous activities through camera's lens

Judy Palm, story and photos

It may be winter but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do for the people of the Seacoast. On a clear winterís day you can see activities and decorations galore. Snow and cold doesnít keep New Englanders inside.  On a recent cold but sunny day we observed fellow hearty Seacoast residents of all ages engaged in all sorts of activities:

Cross-country skiing

Sipping coffee in outdoor cafe

passing the time

walking the beach

surfing

ice fishing

going for a sleigh ride

playing ice hockey on Eel Pond

Children love to make snowmen.

a snow family at the Seacoast Science Center

in Prescott park

New Castle

We still build outside

and fix roofs on the Safety Building in Rye

You will still see various decorations from the holidays just past or the one to come.

If your lucky you'll also see a fish dressed for the weather.
